About
I’m Tom Ron, an engineering leader working in AI. I’m currently Head of AI Solutions at Goodnotes.
Before that I was CTO at Beteende and Head of Engineering at Lynx.MD, where I built and led engineering teams, took products from MVP to production, and owned architecture, cloud cost, security and compliance (SOC 2, HIPAA), and delivery. Earlier I spent several years as a senior data scientist across healthtech and consumer companies in Berlin, and started out as an algorithm engineer working on NLP and large-scale data. I’ve also taught discrete mathematics as a teaching assistant at the Technion.
I started in data science and still think like a data scientist — measure first, be honest about uncertainty, and keep visualizations clear. These days I write mostly about what engineering leadership looks like in the AI era: coding agents, spec-driven development, token economics and FinOps, RAG, and how teams and review workflows adapt when implementation gets cheap.
I write here and on Medium, share code on GitHub, and post on X. The best way to reach me is on LinkedIn.
